ABOUT ROOTS
Roots Community Singers sing and perform a wide range of English and World Folk music.
Mainly acappella, (singing without musical accompaniment), it is open to all comers irrespective of ability, (or lack of it!).  You do not have to be able to read music and will not be asked to sing solo or perform in public unless you wish.

TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER!
We’re very fortunate to have Julie Holland as our leader.  Julie is a very experienced musician who sings and writes her own songs and performs with her band Calling Time.
She has run many singing workshops and helped steer Roots out of lockdown to an excellent performance at the National Forest Timber festival.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
Well not unless you’re up for it!  No one will be forced to go public if this is not their bag!  It is more important that you enjoy singing with us than becoming stressed out through stepping into the limelight!
Having said that, our choir gets regular invites to perform and often organises its own events.

Time & Place
We meet every Tuesday, 7.00 pm - 9 pm at Thringstone Members Club, Thringstone, Leicestershire.

How Much?
The cost is £5 per session plus an annual membership fee of £5

SIGN ME UP SCOTTY!
